The battery pack is locked into position (as shown). Futher clockwise turning enables the system; the handlebar throttle assembly turns the power ON/OFF.

The black sensor uses the magnets in the brown plastic hub-plate to determine speed. Once 20 mph is reached, the controller stops the motor until the speed falls below 20 mph.
