Not at all. Actually this is a HUGE feature of the ZAPPY. I utilize this all the time when carving around. I also use this feature to lean back from time to time for comfort and balance. The big advantage of this feature is during bumps and rough riding. The fact that the steering bar is not rigid means more flexibility of the scooter, demanding less contortion from the rider.
